O'Neill's Play line is made for anyone who mainly wants to have fun on the mountain. At its heart is the FWC'Play Asymmetric Snow Jacket for women and men: waterproof, breathable and loose-fitting.

The essentials at a glance

  1. 01

The FWC'Play line is the playful part of O'Neill's snowwear, made for the piste, fun park and powder.

  2. 02

At its heart is the FWC'Play Asymmetric Snow Jacket with a diagonal zip, available for women and men.

  3. 03

Both jackets are waterproof with a 20,000 mm water column, highly breathable and loose-fitting.

  4. 04

The matching FWC Oversized Snow Pants are also available for women in the same pattern.

Some ski days begin with powder and blue skies, others with flat light and wind at the summit. O'Neill's FWC'Play line is made for both. It combines reliable weather protection and plenty of freedom of movement with a look that stands out.

Play: the idea behind the collection

In the campaign, O'Neill follows its team from the streets of Montreal through the Austrian Alps to Sweden. The message is simple: winter is short, so every day in the snow counts. When conditions don't play along, it's time to get creative: a new line, a small kicker or a few turns in the afternoon.

Alongside Play, the collection includes FWC'Peak for terrain away from the piste and FWC'Cruz with more classic cuts. Play is the most expressive of the three lines. Its signature is the Snowtracks pattern, which recalls tracks in fresh snow.

Two looks from O'Neill's FWC'Play line

The FWC'Play Asymmetric Snow Jacket

The jacket takes its name from the zip that runs diagonally across the chest. The Loose Fit is deliberately roomy: there is space for a fleece underneath, and nothing feels tight when you strap into your bindings or get up after a fall. The stretchy fabric moves with you.

The women's jacket

The front is black, while the hood and sleeves feature the black-and-white pattern. Its features include:

• front zip with a water-repellent cover and storm flap
• adjustable, helmet-compatible hood
• hem with drawcord
• thumb loops on the sleeves

The men's jacket

On the men's jacket, the pattern runs across the chest, shoulders and hood, while the lower section is black. The highly elastic twill fabric gives with every twist and jump, which you notice immediately when doing tricks in the fun park. For long days on the mountain, the jacket has:

• taped seams and a snow skirt
• ventilation zips
• gaiters and adjustable cuffs on the sleeves
• a jacket-to-pants connection system
• a repair kit for small tears

What the technology offers

Both jackets use O'Neill's V-Design Body Mapping. The system tailors the jackets to the body zones that need more warmth or more airflow. This keeps you warm on the lift without overheating when you do lap after lap in the fun park.

In the shop, you will often see the specification 20K/20K. It refers to two values. A water column of 20,000 mm keeps out snowfall and wet spring snow, even if you sit in the snow for a while after a fall. Breathability of 20,000 g/m²/24h indicates how much water vapour passes out through one square metre of fabric per day. The higher the value, the faster sweat escapes.

Matching snow pants for the look

O'Neill pairs the roomy jackets with the equally roomy Oversized Snow Pants. For women they come in the same pattern as the jacket, for men in a light olive shade.
