Overall fourth as Lisa Eder, retirement in spring, return to the national team in August: Lisa Fettner ahead of winter 2026/27.

Lisa Fettner enters winter 2026/27 after an unusual sporting detour. The overall fourth from the previous season, listed under the name Lisa Eder, announced her retirement in spring. On 12 August 2026, Ski Austria confirmed her return and full integration into the women's national team. She is therefore once again part of the active Austrian team.

Her sporting profile remains clear: ski jumping, two individual World Cup wins and a strong 2025/26 season. If you follow her next winter, it is worth looking at the individual venues and her return to competition. Her international career provides specific milestones to follow.

11 individual podium finishes in winter 2025/26 according to Ski Austria's season summary.

  4. 04

Team silver at the 2025 World Championships.

Salzburg club background and international milestones

Fettner was born in St Johann in Tirol and is a member of SK Saalfelden-Salzburg. The club gives her career a clear regional connection. If you visit the area, you can put its sporting context into perspective without equating her birthplace with every later training or competition venue.

She made her World Cup debut in Zao in 2018. As a junior, she won several Junior World Championship titles with teams. World Cup podium finishes followed later. Her public biography therefore shows a path from the junior team to the individual World Cup elite, without every stage already including an individual win.

The distinction matters when looking at the figures. A team World Cup win and an individual World Cup win belong to different competitions. The two individual successes shown in the box are therefore not added to team results. This gives you a more precise view of her season than a single large win total would allow.

Zao and Hinzenbach define the latest season

In January 2026, she won an individual World Cup event in Zao for the first time. The victory in Hinzenbach followed at the beginning of March. Ski Austria lists eleven individual podium finishes for the winter as a whole. She finished fourth in the overall World Cup. This formed the basis of her sporting importance within the Austrian women's team.

At the 2025 World Championships, she won silver with the team. A team achievement forms part of the record, but is distinguished from the individual events. The latest season can be understood precisely through these separate levels: a strong overall result, two individual wins and experience in team competitions.

The information is correct as of 22 October 2026. It says nothing about how quickly a particular result will follow next winter. A profile can explain the starting position. Only the new competition on the respective hill will show the sporting progression after a break.

The return has been expressly confirmed by the federation

In April 2026, she announced her retirement. Her sporting career initially appeared to have ended. The later announcement from Ski Austria changed the situation: in August, the federation announced her comeback and stated that she had been fully reintegrated into the national team.

This makes her status for the season preparations clear. The federation confirms her return to training and sporting involvement. Older federation announcements and results can be found under the name Lisa Eder.

If you want to follow her in winter, keep both names in mind when searching for older results. For a specific start, however, the current squad is what matters. Confirmation of her return does not also guarantee her participation at every venue on the season calendar.

Another focus is the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun. The organiser gives the dates as 24 February to 7 March 2027, information retrieved on 22 October 2026. Which events you want to watch in person depends on the programme. Personal participation is subject to selection by the federation.

Hinzenbach as the venue of a documented home win

Hinzenbach is a particularly useful reference point for this profile because of her individual win there in March 2026. For winter 2026/27, follow the organiser's announcements. Ski Austria has announced two women's individual events at the Energie AG Arena on 28 and 29 November 2026. The dates were checked on 22 October 2026.

The organiser provides a spectator area at the Energie AG Arena. We recommend choosing a place from which you can follow both the flight and the landing. Check the organiser's site and access plan for this. A place right beside the outrun may offer proximity, while limiting the view of the take-off. Choose the perspective that interests you.

The organiser publishes directions and a site plan for the event. Use them to plan the final route to the venue and the return journey; before your visit, check that the plans apply to the November event. A standard map route does not prove that spectator access is open. If you are travelling without a car, check the connection to the venue and the remaining walk as one continuous route. A current timetable is more useful for this than an estimated walking time from an old race report.

Saalfelden as a base for your own mountain trip

Saalfelden, the club's home town, is a suitable base for planning your own stay in the Salzburg region. Keep this trip separate from attending the competition in Hinzenbach; the two locations are not at the same ski-jumping hill.

Compare accommodation based on the actual distances to the lift and spectator access. When travelling to a ski-jumping event, access to the venue takes priority. For your own days on the slopes in the Salzburg region, choose a separate base or a distinct part of the trip. Include the additional transfer explicitly in your plan.

Take a small observation from the hill into the next round. Does the movement remain calm through to the landing, and how does the score compare with your impression? You do not need a prediction. The next attempt provides enough to look at closely.
