New at SportFits: EA7

A large “EA7” across the chest, often with the “Emporio Armani” lettering alongside: you can spot the brand from a hundred metres away. EA7 is the Milan fashion house's sports line, and new at SportFits are its hoodies, tracksuits, lightweight down jackets and ski wear for women and men.

Where EA7 comes from

EA7 was launched in 2004 based on an idea by Giorgio Armani. The line was meant to have its own sporty identity, separate from Emporio Armani's fashion collections. The logo combines the letters “EA” with the number 7; according to the brand, the seven stands for excellence, energy and competitive spirit.

Since the London 2012 Summer Games and the Sochi 2014 Winter Games, Armani has supplied the Italian teams at the Olympics and Paralympics. At the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games, every athlete received items including a down jacket, an insulated ski jacket and trousers made from PROTECTUM7, EA7's waterproof technical fabric.

Train: hoodies, trousers and tracksuits

Most of the range belongs to the Train line: hoodies, joggers and tracksuits for the gym, the way there and lazy Sundays on the sofa. The Core Lady range is cut for women. The Train Core Lady Hoodie Full Zip has an adjustable hood and a kangaroo pocket, and it pairs well with the wide-cut Train Core Lady Pants OH in stretch cotton.

For men, the range is called Core Identity: a hoodie and joggers in a cotton blend, comfortable for everyday wear and easy training. If you prefer something more technical, go for the polyester Vigor7 Pants, with a slim cut and ankle zips.

At EA7, tracksuits are usually designed as sets, with jacket and trousers in the same fabric. The women's Natural VENTUS7 is made from a cotton and polyester blend and also works for training and easy runs. The Train Tracksuit Shiny Studs with shiny studs is more fashion than sport: one you'd wear for travelling or an afternoon in town.

Ski: the Pure and Rider ranges

On the mountain, EA7 keeps the same signature style: clean blocks of colour, a clearly visible logo and often a body-hugging cut. We carry two ski ranges, Pure and Rider.

For women, much of the Pure range revolves around softshell. The Pure Softshell Jacket and the Pure Softshell Jumpsuit, a one-piece, are stretchy and keep out snow and light precipitation. They are joined by the Pure Toray Pant ski trousers. For men there is the Pure PROTECTUM7 Pant, made from the waterproof fabric also used for the trousers in the Olympic kit.

In our range, Rider is mainly for men. The Rider Light Jacket and the matching Rider Light Pant are joined by the Rider Light Padded Hoodie and the Rider Light Padded T-top, both padded and designed to go under the jacket. For women there is the Rider Powerstretch Half Zip, a stretchy jumper with a short zip.

This lets you layer for a day on the slopes: on cold days the hoodie goes under the jacket; on mild spring days you can ski in just the hoodie or the half zip.

Down and padding for everyday wear

Between town and mountain sit the lightweight jackets. The men's Train Core ID Down Light Jacket is filled with down and packs into an included stuff bag. That makes it a good travel jacket or a warm layer under a coat, and it also comes with a hood.

Not every jacket with “Down” in its name is filled with down: the Mountain Poly Down Hooded Jacket and the Train Core Lady Eco Down Caban are insulated with synthetic fibre, which keeps you warm even when damp. The Poly Down has a relaxed cut and a hood with a drawcord.
