Your sport

On foot or on skis?

Where do you train in winter?

Winter running

You feel cold at the start and too warm after ten minutes at pace? Then go for a light wind jacket with a stretchy mid layer underneath that moves with you.

Winter running

Winter running: two thin layers

On the outside, the Jacket Arrow AB Ultra. According to Löffler, its Airblocc Ultralight fabric blocks the wind, lets moisture escape and repels wet. And it is so light you barely notice it while running.

Underneath, the Midlayer Motion made from Race Motion: a thin, very stretchy fabric that holds a fine layer of air on the inside and keeps you warm that way. Thumb loops keep the sleeves over your hands. When you warm up, open the short zip at the collar. Reflective details make you more visible in the dark.

Nordic

Nordic: for training on the trails and warming up

On the trails, you combine the pieces individually. The women's Jacket Pro AB Ultra has Airblocc Ultralight against the wind at the front, shoulders, collar and sleeves, while a brushed, stretchy lining keeps you warm inside. Löffler designed it for rough weather and for warming up before a race.

The men's Tights Pro Breeze have an extra windproof layer on the front of the thighs. Long zips up to the knee make them easy to put on and take off, and Löffler developed them with elite athletes. The Midlayer Fine Transtex Merino for women and men fits underneath: a two-layer knit with fine merino wool that wicks sweat away from your skin.

Our take independent of the partnership

What the new arrivals are good for

Strong at

  • Wind protection at low weight: according to Löffler, Airblocc Ultralight blocks the wind and stays breathable
  • Made for pace: light, stretchy pieces for training and racing, with the warmth coming from the layer underneath

Not the focus

  • Rain: Airblocc Ultralight is water-repellent, not waterproof. In steady rain or wet snow you need a waterproof layer.
  • Mid layers on their own: Midlayer Motion and the merino mid layer keep you warm, the jacket on top blocks the wind

Our take: editorial team, as of October 2026. Based on Löffler's press information on the autumn/winter 2026/27 collection and the product descriptions at SportFits.
