From Grieskirchen to 55 countries
Behind Scoot and Ride are three Austrian entrepreneurs, Wolfgang, Robert and Christian. In Grieskirchen in 2012, they asked a simple question: why should you buy a new vehicle for every stage of your child's development? Their answer was the Highwaykick principle, a scooter that turns from a ride-on into a kickboard in one quick move and so covers several age groups in one product.
The idea caught on fast. In 2013 the brand won the ISPO Brandnew Award, in 2014 the Red Dot Design Award and in 2015 the toy award at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. The same year, the founders appeared on the Austrian start-up show 2 Minuten 2 Millionen. Today children in more than 55 countries ride Scoot and Ride.
The core idea hasn't changed: a children's product should stay in use for as long as possible. Height-adjustable handlebars, no PVC according to the manufacturer, and spare parts for every model mean a Scoot and Ride lasts through several age stages, not just one season.

All Scoot and Ride products are certified under the EU Toy Safety Directive (2009/48/EC) and EN71. Every model has rounded edges in exposed areas, and the Highwaykick also has a Safety Pad that stops it tipping forwards, so children are safe from the very first ride.
