Scoot and Ride: the scooter that grows with your child

Award-winning 2-in-1 kids' vehicles from Austria, built for children from their first year up to primary school age. Now at SportFits.

New at SportFits: Scoot and Ride

Most kids' vehicles come with an expiry date: sooner or later the little ones outgrow them. Scoot and Ride thought about it differently. The Austrian maker builds ride-ons, scooters and kickboards that adapt to a child's motor development, from nursery age up to primary school.

At SportFits you will now find Scoot and Ride vehicles for children from one year old, plus the matching helmets.

From Grieskirchen to 55 countries

Three Austrian entrepreneurs stand behind Scoot and Ride: Wolfgang, Robert and Christian, who asked a simple question in Grieskirchen back in 2012. Why buy a new vehicle for every stage of a child's development? Their answer was the Highwaykick principle, a scooter that turns from ride-on to kickboard with one grab of the handle and so covers several age groups in one piece of kit.

The concept caught on quickly. The brand won the ISPO Brandnew Award in 2013 and the Red Dot Design Award in 2014, took the Toy Award at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in 2015, and appeared that same year on the Austrian startup show 2 Minuten 2 Millionen. Children in more than 55 countries ride Scoot and Ride today.

The founding idea has stuck: a children's product should stay usable for as long as possible. Height-adjustable handlebars, no PVC, spare parts for every model. Scoot and Ride is built to last a whole childhood, not one season.

The range at SportFits

Every Scoot and Ride product is certified to the EU Toy Safety Directive (2009/48/EC) and EN71. Each model is rounded off at exposed points, and the Highwaykick adds a safety pad that stops it tipping forwards, so children are safe from the very first ride. The range grows with your child step by step:

Ride-on
A safe first taste of riding: the My First is a 3-in-1 ride-on for toddlers from six months. Used as a ride-on it builds balance and coordination, the ideal start before the first scooter arrives.
