Four highlights of the season
Warm during breaks, dry in the rain, free to move on the mountain, a good night's sleep in the tent: for each of these layers we show four Marmot models, including new arrivals of the season such as GridLite and Revlo.

Highlight · Insulation
Insulation: warmth for breaks and cold days
Down or synthetic: the Guides Down Hoody keeps you warm with 700 fill power down blended with kapok, while the new GridLite Down Hoody puts 800 fill power down on the torso and synthetic insulation on the arms, sides and hood. Also new is the Revlo Hybrid Hoody with 40 g PrimaLoft Silver Active and stretch nylon, made for tours with lots of movement. GridLite and Revlo pack into their own pocket.

Highlight · Shells
Shells: waterproof in rain, wind and snow
The PreCip Evo Pro is the everyday rain jacket: NanoPro membrane, taped seams, underarm vents, and it stows in its own pocket. For long tours with a backpack there's the Seeker in three-layer GORE-TEX C-Knit, with reinforced shoulders and a helmet-compatible hood.

Highlight · Midlayers
Midlayers: stay warm without overheating
The Aerothermal Hoody insulates with PrimaLoft Active Evolve, an airy high-pile fleece that lets excess heat escape; the women's version weighs 240 g. The Airfleece Hoody uses grid fleece in a checkerboard pattern, with thumb loops and a low-profile hood that fits under a climbing or ski helmet.

Highlight · Sleeping bags
Sleeping bags: down or synthetic
With 800+ fill power goose down: the Hydrogen (740 g, 2 °C comfort to ISO) and the warmer Helium Long (−3 °C comfort). New is the Wraptor 30 Synthetic: no zip, but overlapping flaps with magnetic closures, synthetic fill for damp nights, 2 °C comfort. For mild autumn tours, the Trestles Elite Eco 50 with 9 °C comfort is enough.

It all started with a club
Eric Reynolds and Dave Huntley founded the Marmot Club, a climbing club, at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and sewed their own down gear. In 1974 they opened their first shop in Colorado, and from 1976 they sewed sleeping bag prototypes from GORE-TEX. The club became a brand that still makes jackets, sleeping bags and tents for time outdoors.
