What is a 3-in-1 jacket?

A weatherproof outer jacket and a warm inner jacket that zip together. Wear them together, just the outer jacket in autumn, or just the inner jacket on dry, cool days.

Can I wear the inner jacket on its own?

With most models, yes. Some inner jackets are thin and have no pockets of their own. Whether it works on its own is stated on the jacket.

3-in-1 jacket or waterproof jacket plus fleece?

Separate layers give you more freedom to combine and replace them individually. A 3-in-1 jacket is designed to work together: the sleeves, collar and zip fit securely.
