Höhenmeter
Welcome to the base camp
This is where Höhenmeter starts, the mountain magazine by SportFits. From here you head to the ski areas, the hiking areas and this week's weather.
HöhenmeterStart
This is where Höhenmeter begins: step into the base camp at 2608 metres above Zermatt, look around, then take the gondola up with the Matterhorn in view.

You start inside. Tap the dots, look out at the Matterhorn, then step outside and ride the gondola.

Riffelberg, 2608 m
What you see in the window is the same 3D view, with the sun where it is right now and today's weather on the Riffelberg above Zermatt.
For a day in the mountains
At 2600 metres it is cold even in the sun, and the wind picks up on the ridge. Layers work best: base layer, a warm mid layer and a jacket that keeps out wind and snow.
Goggles with the right lens help against the glare on the snow.
Before you pack
Our advisors help you choose boots, helmets and more, step by step.
