How the calculation works
Measure around your palm just below the knuckles, thumb excluded, on your writing hand. The app maps the value to ranges: up to 17 cm XS/6, up to 19 cm S/7, up to 22 cm M/8, up to 24 cm L/9, up to 27 cm XL/10, above that XXL/11.
The number sizes follow the common inch sizing, which roughly matches your hand circumference in inches. The letters are common guide values and brands can differ.
How to read the result
Compare the result with the model's size chart. On a boundary, go up for thick insulated winter gloves and down for thin cycling or running gloves.
Your fingertips should have a little room inside, otherwise they get cold faster.

What if I have long fingers?
Then also check hand length from wrist to the tip of your middle finger, if the brand lists it.
Do mittens fit differently?
Mittens are often cut a little roomier because your fingers sit together. On a boundary the smaller size usually works.
